Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a Production Supervisor Intern, you will be immersed in our greenhouse operations under close mentorship by the PM. After three months, you\u2019ll undertake a proficiency test\u2014your performance and demonstrated learning will determine whether your internship is extended for the full six months. At the end of six months, a second assessment will decide your eligibility for a permanent Production Supervisor position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>II. Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>(All \u201cAssist &amp; Learn\u201d activities performed under supervision.)<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Team Support &amp; Scheduling:<\/strong><br \/>\nHelp maintain muster rolls, track attendance, and assist in planning leave and cover.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Training &amp; Development:<\/strong><br \/>\nParticipate in\u2014and eventually co\u2011deliver\u2014training on crop husbandry, pest\/disease identification, and SOPs; maintain your personal training log.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Operational Assistance:<\/strong><br \/>\nExecute weekly work plans: planting, bending, de\u2011suckering, bud removal, harvesting, loss counting, and clearance.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Quality &amp; IPM Exposure:<\/strong><br \/>\nAssist with 100% stem inspections for FCM and quality; support IPM scouting and bio control routines.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hygiene &amp; Equipment Maintenance:<\/strong><br \/>\nHelp maintain greenhouse cleanliness; track and return tools and PPE, reporting any issues.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cross\u2011Department Coordination:<\/strong><br \/>\nShadow Ferti\u2011irrigation, maintenance, and post\u2011harvest briefings; assist in raising job cards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reporting &amp; Communication:<\/strong><br \/>\nDraft daily climate and activity logs; present a weekly \u201cLessons Learned\u201d summary to the APM.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3\u2011Month Proficiency Review:<\/strong><br \/>\nPrepare for and complete a mid\u2011internship test of core skills and knowledge; strong effort and learning progress are critical for extension to six months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>III. Learning Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By the end of this internship you will be able to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0Plan &amp; Execute<\/strong>\u00a0greenhouse workflows independently.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Monitor &amp; Adjust<\/strong>\u00a0climate\u2011control and irrigation systems.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Perform Quality Checks<\/strong>\u00a0to company standards.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Apply IPM Principles<\/strong>\u00a0from scouting through bio control.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Communicate &amp; Report<\/strong>\u00a0operational data clearly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>IV. Key Performance Indicators<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/redlandsroses.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/Screenshot-2025-04-23-114751.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>V. Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a) Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BSc. in Horticulture, Agronomy, or Plant Science from a reputed university in Kenya. Minimum degree classification should be Second Class Upper Division.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>b) Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic understanding of greenhouse operations and hydroponics.<\/li>\n<li>Strong initiative, willingness to learn, and ability to follow procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Good English communication skills (spoken &amp; written).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>c) Other:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full\u2011time commitment for six months.<\/li>\n<li>Eligible to work in Kenya.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>VI.
