Solvents & Volatiles
Categories
Chlorinated solvents are chemical compounds that contain chlorine and are commonly used for industrial cleaning, degreasing, and chemical processing. They are especially effective at dissolving oils, grease, resins, and other stubborn contaminants.
Because of their strong solvency power and fast evaporation rates, chlorinated solvents are widely used in metal cleaning, dry cleaning, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and surface preparation processes. Common examples include methylene chloride, trichloroethylene (TCE), and perchloroethylene (PCE).
